Network Name

Name of the computer within the network
Entry is mandatory

Logical Name

Freely editable name.

The server will be listed by this name instead of the Network Name (network name).

IP Address

IP address of the computer within the network
Machine-readable address of the computer.

UID

The UID value must be kept even if the Network Name, IP or MAC address has been changed in order to identify the server by the PPS uniquely.

• You may keep the entry field empty for servers registered the first time. The SNS automatically enters a value.
• Do not use values several time which has been entered manually.

Unit Type

Internal label of the computer type

• M1 = Pattern workstation
• FS = File Server

Type ID

Device type of the pattern workstation or the file server

This specification is used by the PPS to allocate the devices in the list of device types. For FS, the specification is 5000 and for M1 it is 5001

• Do not use an ID identical to any ID of Stoll machine classes.
  Use ID >= 5000 und < 5100
• Use identical IDs for similar devices.
• Specify different IDs for devices with different properties.

Network Access

Define the type of the network access.

Stoll Network

The shared folders of the File Servers will appear on the OKC machines in the File Manager under Stoll Netzwerk

KnitLAN / ftp

KnitLAN folder of pattern workstations will appear on the OKC machines in the File Manager under KnitLAN / ftp
