Adding an individual machine after disconnection automatically
Individual machines may loose their connection to the PPS for a certain time. Once, the connection exists again, generally, the STOLL PPS detects it automatically. PPS accesses the history of up to 500 status changes. Each status change receives its own index, which will be the higher the more recent the change occured on the corresponding machine.
In case that the last index retrieved from the STOLL PPS to a machine is old, but they can be completed with the known historical status changes, the missing status changes will be retrieved and processed without the need of a recovery.
If this is not the case or if one of the following additional situations occurs, STOLL PPS will automatically trigger a system recovery for the concerned machine.
- An index (quantity or status) that the STOLL PPS saved as the most recent from the machine, is lower than the oldest historical index available on the machine
- An index (quantity or status) that the STOLL PPS saved as the most recent index from the machine, is higher than the current index on the machine
- The PPS accesses an machine for the first time
- A ticket about which the STOLL PPS receives a message from the machine is not known by the STOLL PPS.
- A ticket linked to a machine in the STOLL PPS, does not exist on the machine
- A ticket exists in the STOLL PPS and on the machine as well, but with a different status.
