Devices and machines

In the following sections of this document, the expressions Device and Machine will be used. The STOLL PPS is able to manage also other devices than the STOLL machines of the last two generations, which can be controlled via the network. The devices can be integrated directly in the production process or indirectly, without integration in the production process.

• Non supported , older STOLL machines (direct)
• Machines of other manufacturers (direct)
• STOLL patterning units (indirect)
• Server Systems (indirect)

Devices, that are involved directly with the production (STOLL and third-party machines) are designated by the STOLL PPS as Machines. All the others as Devices. In the scheduling / order management there are available only machines, in the other views there all the other devices as well.
