Placing the devices on the floor plan

Condition: The administrator already has determined the room dimensions in the room management or uploaded a corresponding plan.

Room management

After selecting the room the required devices are transferred from the list to the floor plan As long as the devices are not yet placed, they are displayed in the upper left area of the plan.

Then, the devices can be moved and aligned on the plan. The alignment of the devices can be changed using the context menu in 15 steps.

Restrict the displayed devices using the search and filter functions:

    Select the Devices element from the menu bar.

    In the navigation bar select the Installation plan tab.
  1. The Installation plan view appears. On the left (1) there is a list with all devices, on the right there is the room view (3), in between the toolbar (2) of the installation plan.

    Select a room at the central top in the room view (3) in the drop-down menu.

    If necessary, filter the devices in the list accordingly.

    Select one or more devices.
    (Multiple selection with Shift or Ctrl)

    Click the button of the toolbar (2) to apply the devices to the floor plan.
  1. The devices appear selected at the top left in the floor plan.

    Pick and place the devices with the mouse.

    Select several devices with Shift or Ctrl and position them together.

    Position the devices rotating them with the correct angle.
    For this purpose use the buttons in the room toolbar (4).
  1. The installation plan of the room is changed without the need of saving it.
