SNS on OKC-Machine

Networking OKC machines will register themselves actively at the Stitch Nameserver if the following requirements are given:

Activate the Stitch Nameserver on the OKC machine:

  1. The knitting machine is switched off.

    Set machine main switch to 1.
  1. The BootOkc window is displayed.

    Type in within the waiting time for the warm start on the Basic Settings key.
  3. The Basic Settings Menu window is displayed.

    Tap the Configure Network key.
  5. The Network Configuration window is displayed.

    Activate the Use Stitch Nameserver* check box.
  7. The Network Configuration window will be displayed with SNS settings.

    = Selected server is connected

    Select another server if necessary.
    With the Change button.
  9. The Change Nameserver dialog box with edit boxes appears.

    Check and complete the settings in the Network Identification and Information for Stitch Nameserver sections.

    Exit the Network Configuration with OK.

Network Identification

Computer name

The input of a (machine) name is necessary in order to enable the other network users an access to this machine. This machine is identified with this name in the network. Enter descriptions of this machine in the Description field.

Workgroup

All knitting machines should be located in the same Workgroup so that the machines can communicate with each other. This input field must be filled up. Ask for your corresponding Work group name from your Network administrator in case of a network spanning your firm/LAN.

Network Account

User name

This user must be familiar with his password in the network so that the shared drives and folders can be used.
Your Network administrator will create a user name and a password for you so that you can access the network resources.
: Enter the computer name and the user name in the User Name field like this: computer\user.
computer represents hereby the central computer or a domain

Password

Information for Stitch Nameserver

These entries appear in the table of the Stitch Nameserver
The entries are optional but will help you to identify machines more efficiently in larger networks.

Group

Allocate a machine to a preset SNS group.

Location of MC

Enter the location of the machine.

Description

Enter the description of the machine.
Type of machine, gauge and other special features of the machine. This input appears as a comment in the Windows Explorer.

External LAN
