Access to PPS

The PPS Server Suite needs a network to be able to function.

• A LAN must be used for the main functions in the factory.
• WLAN can be used additionally for accessing via mobile devices. A WLAN network, however, is not very stable. Occasional connection interruptions may occur and this type of network can be disturbed especially in the industrial environment. Generally it is not possible to achieve the stable band widths of a LAN network.
• If the Skype service is to be used, the PC must have an Internet connection.
• For the economic and efficient support of PPS, Stoll uses TeamViewer for remote access. It requires an Internet connection as well.
• In case you need access PPS via Internet, use a VPN connection with which the PPS can be accessed.
• For sending SMS via a gateway, the E-Mail server must have a connection to the internet.
