How to Solve Communication Problems
In case you have communication problems between PPS and the machine, carry-out the following inspections:
- Can PPS and machine network reach each other across segments?
- Did you setup a DNS and did you configure it correctly?
- Is the CPU capacity load at the PPS server close to the 100% mark?
Are unexpected programs running on the PPS server? - Did you exclude the directories specified in the installation description from the virus scan?
- Check the network connection of the machine.
- Can you load a pattern that is stored on a shared network drive onto the machine?
- Do you reach the machine via the explorer entering ftp://<Machine Network Name>
- Verify whether there is installed an operating system on the machine that supports PPS.
For OKC machines, at least V_OKC_006.002.000_STOLL must be installed or the state, that is currently required by Stoll. - Check wether the PPS licence has expired.
For this purpose open the Ticket processing window.
If the licence expired, you will find a corresponding note. - Verify that the PPS version is compatible with the machine software.
You will find notes regarding this in the PPS message area.
