Planning the Installation

Generally, the Stoll Service will assist you providing a briefing in order to undertake the required preparations to install the PPS Server Suite successfully. The PPS is a complex system and accordingly there are many criteria that can influence negatively the installation. Therefore, observe the recommendations of the Stoll Service and the instructions in this document.

An appropriate PC meeting the system requirements must be available. This PC must have access to the internet and be networked with the machines. The involved servers, for example for providing the patterns, must be known. The user, with which the machines log on to the network, must be known.

In case you have asked Stoll to carry out a local installation and/or a training, please dispense the participants from their daily work. Provide a quiet room with access to the network and a projector to be able to instruct a larger number of people.
