Data Flow of the PPS Server Suite

The image illustrates the data flows and the involved components of the PPS solution.

The connected Stoll machines are displayed at the left as well as the assigned printer, which can be used for printing the routing slips.

In the center are the software and hardware components belonging to the PPS:

• Apache server, where the SNS runs and which can be used for providing the documents and additional files for the ticket views
• PostgreSQL server for the database
• Jboss server, where the PPS web software is located
• external hard disk for the live backup
• Guacamole, a gateway for the VNC access
• Birt report generator to display reports in the PPS
• Skype clients for the user communication
• TeamViewer Client for the Stoll Support, as well as an additional shared network drive

Further on the right there are:

• the clients (PCs and mobile devices with WLAN connection), which access the PPS via browser.
• the E-Mail server to be provided by the customer
• a default printer near by the PPS
• the ERP system that transfers orders to the PPS and accesses the results
• an Excel program to be used for evaluations
• the network is protected by a firewall from WAN/Internet.
• Behind there are located an E-Mail to SMS gateway for sending SMS
• the Stoll Service, which offers support via TeamViewer
• external clients that access the network via VPN
