Installing an E-mail to SMS Gateway

Alarm information can be sent to you as SMS by the PPS. For this, the PPS uses a e-mail to SMS gateway. Technically, the PPS sends an e-mail with the alarm message as text to a given e-mail address, which contains the phone number of the recipient. The gateway then forwards the message as SMS.

There are free service providers with whom you must conclude a contract to be able to use their gateway for it. You can also ask your local telephone provider if he provides such a gateway. Perhaps it is already included in your license agreement.

Another possibility is to set up such a service yourself, installing the necessary software and hardware on a PC. They are offered for example by Servonic.
