Lubricating at running-in!

  1. In the first weeks after setting up the knitting machine, select shorter lubricating intervals.

Inappropriate Lubricants!

Insufficient lubricating effect

Increased wear and tear

Sticking of the needle bed elements and the yarn carrier

Corrosion on metal parts

damage to the electrical cable insulation and the plastic parts.

  1. Unsuitable lubricants may damage the machine.
  1. Use only the lubricants recommended by STOLL.
  1. Failure to comply will void the guarantee.

No Magnets!

Needle bed or cams can get magnetized.

This can cause incorrect selection.

  1. Do not remove metallic parts and fragments (e.g. broken needle latch or needle hook) with a magnetic tool.

Dirt-caked needle channels due to oil or cleaning agent!

When the needle channels are cleaned with oil or cleaning agent, the dirt swells up and clogs the needle channels.

  1. Do not clean needle channels with oil or cleaning agent.
  2. Push dirt out of needle channels and blow out needle channels with compressed air.

Solvents on Plastics!

Solvents can damage acrylic glass and other plastic surfaces.

Examples: Benzene, ethanol, alcohol

  1. Plastics, in particular the transparent covers, may not be cleaned with glass cleaner or spirit.
  2. Clean with pure water and dishwashing detergent only.
  3. If necessary, clean with special detergent for acrylic glass.

Damage to the selection systems and impulse givers!

The selection systems and impulse givers will be damaged if they are cleaned with acetone or trichlorethylene (Tri).

  1. Clean the selector systems and impulse sensors with a clean cloth.
