Switch-off time in case of power failure

Preliminary Remarks

A power failure is an interruption of the power supply which lasts longer than 45 milliseconds.

Which works does the machine carry out with a power failure?

Stop carriage immediately without any occurrence of a wrong selection
Save knitting program, operating system, and machine specific data
Save production progress.
Once the power supply is restored, the production can be carried on:

Precisely where the knitting process has been interrupted.
Without any occurrence of an error in fabric.

Pictograph

The machine is immediately stopped when a power failure (longer than 45 milliseconds) occurs. The knitting program, operating system and the machine-specific data are not lost. The battery card (with the accumulators) ensures this.

The pictograph with the corresponding message appears on the touch screen.

Life-threatening high voltage!

Electrical shock may cause death or serious injuries.

In case of power failure, do not work on the electrical equipment of the machine without interrupting the power supply.

1: Set machine main switch to 0.

Longer power failure

If the power failure lasts more than 30 seconds (standard setting), the computer of the knitting machine is automatically shut down. The time until the computer shuts down can be set from 2 to 180 seconds.

If you are sure that the power failure exists for a longer period of time, you can switch off the main switch with Switch off main switch button.

The set time always remain saved, even when the operating system is loaded again.

Continue production:

1: Once the power supply is restored, switch on the main switch.

2: In the System Control Unit window, tap the Warmstart button.

3: Start the machine with the engaging rod.

Shorter power failure

If the power supply is restored within the set time, confirm the power failure message with the Confirm message key. To continue knitting, start the machine with the engaging rod.

Attention

If the battery voltage is too low (Message 21037 Battery voltage too low: No power failure function), no extension of the power failure time is possible.
