Installation of the McNet2 program

The networking functions (McNetXP) is already installed for machines as of October 2003.

Start the installation of the McNet2 program:

  1. The knitting machine is switched off.

    Insert the installation floppy disk 1 with the label McNet2 automatic network installation into the machine's floppy disk drive.

    Switch on the machine.
    -> The Windows 95 operating system starts. The installation program for the Ethernet network on Stoll TC machines will start automatically then.

    STOLL TC BOOT prompt with the message BO-STATUS: Install new WIN-components from the floppy disk. Please follow instructions! confirm with OK.

    Insert Floppy disk 2 of the McNet2 program after being asked to do so and follow the instructions.

Warning:
Do not switch-off the machine after starting the program.
Make entries in accordance with the prompts from the program.
The machine's operating system (BO) then starts automatically. The main menu is displayed.

The McNet2 program floppy disks 1 and 2 are copied to the hard disk of the IPC.
The installation procedure on the machine starts automatically.

After you start the application, the McNet2 dialogue box appears with the default network settings:
