Evaluating Data

You have a number of filter options to extract the desired data.
The filter options and the meaning of the report columns are described in the SKR3 documentation.
Overview of Reports

Evaluating Data

  1. You have setup the ODBC interface successfully, have added machines to the SKR management and operated them for some time. Now, you want to evaluate the data.
  2. You have installed Excel, version 2007 or higher and started the Excel program under D:\PPS\ODBC_Examples\Excel\StollReportFromSkrToExcel.xlsb.

    In the Enter ODBC Data Source Name field enter the data source, which you have set up for the 32 bit application.

Even if you have installed the 64Bit version of Excel, you must use the 32 Bit ODBC connection for the Excel report.

    Enter an appropriate evaluation time period under Start Date/time and End Date/Time.

    Click on Update Machine Selection List.
  1. The Selected Machines list now contains all machines managed by the SKR3.
    The status field displays a green color bar and the text: Successfully retrieved McList.

    Select the machines, whose data you want to evaluate.

Multiple selection

Click with the Ctrl key pressed.

Click the first desired machine and with the Shift key pressed click on the last machines to select a range of machines.

    Click on the orange arrow Create Secondary Database.
  1. In the status bar on the bottom left you see a progress bar running upward and at the and in the status field appears: Successfully generated secondary DB. Now you can evaluate the collected data via one of the 4 report functions, which you can find in the tab bar at the bottom.
  2. You can access four different reports:

    Switch from the tab at the bottom to one of the reports and click on Generate <Name of the Report>.
  1. Under the grey parameter block is displayed a table with the data of you machines. A maximum of 140 rows of the data are shown.

    Via the Current Start Index field you can have listed the next 140 rows.

    Each tab has a Executed SQL Query field at right that displays the executed SQL commands. This will help you to create programs by yourself with these SQL commands.
