How to re-enter a machine with change IPC in the PPS.

  1. A machine is in the PPS management. The machine fails and the IPC is changed. The correct image is already on the IPC and the machine starts with it.
    1
Look up the machine number of the machine in the SNS in the Machine No column.
    2
Copy the more recent cfg_<Machine No>.zip file or the cfg_<Machine No>_usercopy.zip file from the D:\PPS\FtpRoot\McFiles\McConfigData directory to a USB stick.
    3
Plug the stick into the USB port of the machine and load the configuration file onto the machine with the boot program.
  1. The machine is now again configured including the network settings. But it has another MAC address.
  2. 4
Start the machine until the user interface.
    5
Control the activation of your EVPs and reinstall them if necessary.
    6
Wait approx. 10 minutes. Export the machine from the PPS. Reimport the machine into the PPS. See Import devices from the SNS into the STOLL PPS management
    7
An conflict dialog appears notifying that there is already the same machine in the PPS, but that it has a different MAC address. This machine in the last row has the same IP address, UID and name. Click on this machine and then on Execute import. See the Import devices from the SNS into the STOLL PPS management section Conflict causes and their solution.
  1. The history of the machine is continued and the machine is again imported.
