How to get a functional EVP when changing a backplane with SECPU
- On your machine, the backplane had to be replaced, on which a security board (SECPU) is installed. As a result, existing EVPs become invalid and can no longer be used.
- The data of the new SECPU must be integrated into the system at STOLL. Based on the updated data, new EVPs must be created.
- 1
- Set up the machine as desired.
- 2
- Switch the machine on and boot it up until the user interface is visible.
- 3
- Check if the machine has registered back in the SNS.
For set-up, see:
SNS on OKC-Machine, SNS on EKC-Machine.
- 4
- Create a data export from the SNS for the affected machines.
See How to copy the machine numbers
- 5
-
Send the csv file to the STOLL service.
Or export an order file from the PPS (see EVP Management) and send the resulting .csv file to the STOLL service.
You do not need to configure the order if it is only for the purpose of transferring SECPU data.
- Once the the new EVPs have been generated, you can download these EVPs from the STOLL WEBSHOP.
- 6
-
Deploy the EVP to the machine via the PPS.
- You can use the machine with the reactivated functions as before the backplane was replaced.
Consequences of Exchanging the Backplane with SECPU
- All Extended Value Packages do not work any more.
- The active timelock blocks the machine.
Machine works at creep speed MSECCO only. - Machines without Extended Value Package are not concerned.
